Joydev Mahotsav

(15th Jan '24 - 18th Jan '24)

One of the biggest festivals celebrated by Manohar Sevashram Sangha is Joydev Mahotsav at Bedonasha Botashram in Joydev , Kenduli. During the festival puja , homa and yajna is performed at the base of the Holy Banyan Tree ( Bednasha Botobrikhho). Clothes and blankets are distributed to the needy by the Sangha as a part of their charitable activity. Sadhuseva and Noronarayan seva is done for three days in a row by the members of the Sangha. One of the main attractions during the utsav is the bauls singing at night at the ashram compound.

Sree Sree Mahashivratri

(8th March '24)

Lord Shiva occupies a significant place in the minds of the disciples and devotees of Sree Sree 108 Swamy Birajananda Bharati Maharaj. He attained Siddhi by doing sadhana at the Shiva temples in Siyada and Kroshjuri. He also had a vision where he saw His Guru SreeSree Sadananda (Dasi) Swamy ( SreeSree Budhababa) as Siddeshwar (Lord Shiva) at the Kroshjuri temple. Maha Shivratri, a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, is celebrated on the Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Phalgun. Memebers of the Sangha celebrate it at the Dhanbad ashram at Jharudih.

Bengali New Year

(14th April '24)

Poila Boishakh is an important festival for the Bengalis, as it marks the beginning of a new calender year. Devotees and disciples throng the Radhakunja Ashram at Purulia on this auspicious day to pay respect to their Guru Sree Sree 108 Swamy Birajananda Bharati Maharaj. Yajna and homa are performed at the ashram on this day for the well being of the mankind. Prasadam is distrbuted to the attendees. In the evening cultural programs are organized where devotional songs, kirtan and bhajans are sung by devotees.

Gurupurnima

Every year during the auspicious Gurupurnima tithi the devotees and disciples of Sree Sree 108 Swamy Birajananda Bharati Maharaj celebrate the occasion at Anath Nath Deb Thakurbati in Beadon Street Kolkata. Devotees gather from all across the world to pay homage to their Guru.

Janmashtami

One of the important festivals in the Hindu religion is Janmashtami, celebrating the birth (janma) of God Sri Krishna on the eighth (ashtami) day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadrapada (August–September). There is a famous idol of Lord Sri Gopal ( the childhood form of Lord Krishna ) at Sadanda Ashram in Hazaribagh . Devotees gather at the Sadananda ashram on this auspicious day to perform puja of Lord Sri Gopal.

Durgapuja

Durga Puja, the most significant and widely celebrated festival in Bengal, holds a special place in the hearts of Bengalis. This grand occasion is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga, who represents power, femininity, and triumph of good over evil. Durga Puja is a multi-day festival that typically takes place in the months of September or October. It marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura. Sree Sree 108 Swamy Birajananda Bharati Maharaj in a state of trance (samadhi) received an order from His Guru SreeSree Sadananda (Dasi) Swamy ( SreeSree Budhababa) to start Durgapuja at the Hazaribagh ashram. From then onwards every year Durga Puja is celebrated with a lot of grandeur at the Sadananda ashram in Hazaribagh. Devotees and disciples from all walks of life and different parts of the world get together and take part in the multiday festivities.

Kalipuja

Kali Puja is one of the most sacred Hindu festivals and dedicated to the Avatar (incarnation) of Goddess Durga in the form of Maa Kali. There are idols of Goddess Kali at few of the ashams like Sonatholi Sadhu Ashram and Dandar Gopal asram. However Kali Puja is performed in multiple ashrams ( Dandor, Sonatholi, Dhanbad, Bhagalpur) with great enthusiasm by the devotees and disciples of Sree Sree 108 Swamy Birajananda Bharati Maharaj.
