Hazaribagh is a city and a municipal corporation in Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. This place holds great significance to the disciples and devotees of Sree Sree 108 Swami Birajananda Bharati Maharaj as He spent considerable amount of time here and lot of memorable events happened during His stay. Sadananda Ashram was inaugurated in the year 1950. It was a brainchild of ashram janani Sree Ma (Sree Sree Radharani Devi) on whose endeavour alongwith assistance form the disciples and devotees all the roadblocks were cleared and the ashram was finally built.  One of the notable disciples of Sree Sree 108 Swami Birajananda Bharati Maharaj in Hazaribagh was the owner of Pearl Motor Company, Sri Dhirendra Nath Sen. He donated 1.04 acres of land on which the ashram was built and the foundation was laid on the birthday (Janmotsav)  of Sree Sree 108 Swamy Birajananda Bharati Maharaj in the Bengali year 1352 (1945).

Direction: The nearest airport is Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, at a distance of 102 km (63 mi). Ranchi is connected with Bengaluru, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Patna by regular flights. From Ranchi regular bus services are there to Hazaribagh or cabs are also available. The nearest railway station is Koderma which is 60 Kms from Sadananda Ashram. From Koderma bus or hired cabs can be availed to reach Hazaribagh. Kolkata to Hazaribagh direct bus service is also availble. The ashram is located in Sadanand Road beside Sharan Nursing Home. Key Spots: Devotees travelling to the ashram should visit Asana's of Sree Sree 108 Swami Birajananda Bharati Maharaj & Sree Sree Ma , Sree Sree Gopal ( statue of Lord Krishna in His childhood form), Sree Sree Ma Durga idol ( only during Durga Puja) and Samadhi of Sree Gourgopal Bramhachari.

Also  at a distance of ~8 Kms from the Holy ashram the famous Jagannath Temple is situated at Silwar village which was  established by Sri Sri ( 108 ) Swami Birajananda Bharati. It has become a pilgrimage and, on the day of Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra, a big fare is held there and lakhs of people visit the temple for prayers and darshan. 

Accommodation : There are quite a few hotels of different budgets available near the ashram. Canary Inn (high budget) is situated 1Km away from ashram and within low budget Hotel Amrapali is just 800m from ashram. 

Key Festivals Celebrated : Janmashtami is celebrated every at the ashram during the bengali calender month of Bhadra. During Janmashtami devotees and disciples offer Puja to Lord Gopal (the childhood form of Lord Krishna).

Mahalaya: Mahalaya is an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar, celebrated with great fervor and devotion across India. This day marks the beginning of the much-awaited festival of Durga Puja, a celebration of the triumph of good over evil. Homa and yajna are done at the Sadananda ashram on this auspicious day. 

Durga Puja: Durga Puja also known as Durgotsava or Sharodotsav, is an annual festival originating in the Indian subcontinent which reveres and pays homage to the Hindu goddess Durga. Every year Durga Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sadananda Ashram. Devotees and disciples from all across the world gather at the ashram to participate in this festival. Homa and Yajna are done on the Navami tithi.
